Tributes have been paid to a 21-year-old "devoted mother" who was killed in a road crash in north Devon.

Emma Kift and an unnamed 23-year-old man, both from Bratton Fleming, died when their car left the road at Loxhore Cross, near Barnstaple.

Four people were in the vehicle when it crashed at about 03:50 BST on 1 June.

A man, 21, arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving has been bailed and no further action was taken against another arrested man.

Ms Kift's family said: "She enjoyed life to the full and her proudest achievement was her son."

The statement thanked "the support of everyone in both Bratton Fleming and in the wider community."

Police found the car burnt out and closed the road between Bratton Cross and Snapper for several hours for an investigation to be carried out.
