About 4,000 bikers have taken part in an annual charity motorcycle ride in Plymouth.

They travelled about 30 mile, from Lee Mill Industrial Estate to Marley Head and finished on Plymouth Hoe.

Riders donated £3 or £5 at the start of the event with proceeds being split between four charities.

The event had been due to take place in June, but was postponed because of the weather conditions.

The money will be split between MacMillan Cancer Support, Devon Freewheelers, Drakes Sailing Club and Operation Henry Pancreatic Cancer.

The ride began in 1995 with about 400 bikers and is now one of the biggest charity bike rides in the UK.
