Dispersal orders for Plymouth's Barne Barton and Keyham areas

Two areas in Plymouth have been granted dispersal orders to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour.

The orders for parts of Barne Barton and Keyham, were requested by police and approved by Plymouth City Council.

They are in place to cover the lead-up to Halloween and Bonfire Night, the council said.

Under them, officers can instruct people to leave an area if there are reasonable grounds for believing people could be intimidated or harassed.

The Barne Barton order is valid until 10 December. The Keyham order lasts for six months.
