Marazion man, 84, dies after A30 hedge crash

An 84-year-old man has died after the car he was driving left the road and crashed into a hedge.

The Marazion man was driving around Newtown roundabout on the A30 on the evening of 28 December when the crash happened.

Police said his vehicle left the road as he was travelling from the roundabout towards St Erth.

He was found unconscious and was taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police have urged anyone with information to contact them, especially a cyclist who stopped to help the man, but left before the police arrived.
