A driver who died after a crash in severe weather in Devon has been named as Kevin Wayne Caswell.

The 42-year-old, from Plymouth, was injured when his Ford Fiesta spun off the A38 in a hail storm on 22 January and he was struck by another vehicle.

Mr Caswell, who was in the Territorial Army, was treated at the scene, but later died at Derriford Hospital.

The married father-of-three was described by his family as a "fantastic bloke" who would be truly missed.

The accident was the first of five two-vehicle collisions on the A38 Parkway which caused major traffic disruption in the city.
