Lapford school worker admits £5,500 of fraud and thefts
A pre-school financial administrator has been given a suspended jail sentence after admitting stealing from a pre-school in Devon.
Abigail McPherson, 36, of Greenway, Morchard Bishop, carried out frauds and thefts at Lapford pre-school totalling nearly £5,500, Exeter Crown Court heard.
At a previous hearing, she admitted three fraud charges and eight thefts.
She was sentenced to eight months, suspended for two years.
When admitting the offences, carried out during the 2009-10 academic year, her defence team told the court said she was of previous good character who had since had to live on benefits.
