Two held after armed police incident in Plymouth

Armed police swooped on a Plymouth street after a man armed with a "knife or sword" entered a property.

Officers from Devon and Cornwall Police were called to the incident at 20:30 BST in Laira Place.

About eight police vehicles lined Embankment Road as the police helicopter circled above.

Two men, aged 23 and 25, from Plymouth, were later arrested on suspicion of affray and were taken to Crownhill police station to be questioned.
