Cafe with 23-seat cinema up for sale in Torquay
A cafe in Devon which claims to house the smallest cinema in the UK has gone on the market for a £50,000 leasehold.
The Blue Walnut in Torquay is home to a 23-seat auditorium which boasts a Blu-ray system, surround sound and hosts its own film club.
The business, based in the Chelston part of the town, also hosts music and poetry evenings.
David Jenkins, from Waycotts Charted Surveyors in Torbay, who are handling the offer said it was a "unique sale".
David Jenkins said: "You don't get to use the word 'unique' very often but the Blue Walnut certainly falls into that category. The premises are compact but well arranged."
The company said it would be a perfect buy for a "film buff with a love of the arts, poetry and live music, who loves to cater and entertain".
The Blue Walnut is also one of three UK venues to host the Manhattan Short Film Festival which is held each October.
Viewers get to watch 10 short films from around the world, voting for the film of their choice.
Waycotts said offers of more than £250,000 could allow a buyer to own the entire property, which included a three-bedroom maisonette.
