Pedestrian killed in hit and run on A38 Lee Mill carriageway

A pedestrian has been killed in a hit-and-run crash on a main road in Devon.

The victim, in his 50s, was struck by a vehicle on the eastbound carriageway of the A38 at Lee Mill, near Plymouth, at about 22:30 BST on Sunday.

The man, who was wearing a black shirt and shorts, died at the scene.

Devon and Cornwall Police are appealing for witnesses who saw the man or the crash and are searching for a recently damaged vehicle which could have been involved.
