Devon and Cornwall Police investigate Taser use on boys
Devon and Cornwall Police has begun an investigation into the use of a Taser on boys at a school for pupils with learning difficulties.
The electric stun device was used on three boys aged between 14 and 15 at Chelfham Senior School in Bere Alston, Devon on 1 December.
The Independent Police Complaints Commission will supervise the inquiry.
The force, which referred the incident to the IPCC on 7 December, declined to comment.
The police watchdog's associate commissioner Tom Milsom said the organisation would supervise the investigation "so that the public can be reassured that the examination of this incident receives independent oversight".
Three boys arrested at the school have been charged with affray.
