Holsworthy Beacon school bus crash witness appeal
Police investigating a crash involving a school bus and a van in Devon have appealed for witnesses.
Fifteen children were on a Mercedes coach when it was in collision with a Ford Transit van at the Old Post Office at Holsworthy Beacon on Tuesday afternoon.
The 47-year-old female van driver was seriously hurt and airlifted to hospital, while the 67-year-old coach driver suffered facial injuries.
Some children suffered minor injuries.
The coach was embedded in the side of a nearby property causing extensive structural damage to an annexe.
The building has been made safe and a structural engineer from Torridge District Council's building control department said there was no danger to the public.
Devon and Cornwall Police said the injured van driver was flown by air ambulance to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth.
Her condition is thought to be serious but not life-threatening.
