A church's stained glass window installed in memory of prisoners of war who helped to build the church has been re-dedicated after restoration.

St Michael's Church in Princetown, Devon was built to serve nearby Dartmoor Prison, which held soldiers captured during the American War of 1812 and Napoleonic Wars with France.

The window was created in 1912 in memory of the prisoners of war.

A £45,000 Churches Conservation Trust grant funded the restoration.

Thirty dignitaries from the US and France attended the re-dedication.
