Alex Peguero murder: Man charged over death

A man has been charged with murder after a teenager died after an altercation at a taxi rank.

Former Plymouth Argyle youth player Alex Peguero Sosa, 17, from Aveton Gifford, Devon, died after being injured in Kingsbridge on Sunday.

Police said he suffered a serious neck wound that "may have been caused by glass, possibly a bottle".

Lee Dent, 42, of East Portlemouth, near Salcombe, is due to appear before magistrates in Torquay later.

A 22-year-old Kingsbridge man arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and perverting the course of justice has been released on police bail until 28 July.

Mr Peguero Sosa, a Kingsbridge Community College sixth form student, died after suffering serious head injuries at about 02:20 BST on Sunday.
