Plymouth car 'cruise' crash: Man faces 17 assault charges

A man has been charged with 17 counts of assault over a crash at a car "cruising" event held in a DIY store's car park.

The 17 injured, aged between 12 and 20, were among a crowd watching cars at the B&Q car park in Tavistock Road, Plymouth on 26 July 2014.

Christopher Budd, 19, of Trelawney Gardens, Liskeard, has also been charged with dangerous driving.

He was bailed to appear at Plymouth Magistrates' Court on 28 January.
