A car driver who died after a crash involving a lorry that overturned has been named by police.

The Volvo lorry shed its load of logs on the A39 between Bideford and Barnstaple in Devon at about 06:50 GMT on 14 January.

Mike Rowley, 57, from Bideford, was freed from his Subaru Impreza by fire crews but was pronounced dead at North Devon District Hospital, police said.

The lorry driver suffered minor injuries.
