Dawlish man in court over Sophie McDonald murder refused bail

A man accused of murdering his estranged wife in Devon has been refused bail.

James McDonald, 36, of Iddesleigh Terrace, Dawlish, is charged with murdering Sophie McDonald, also 36.

Her body was found at an address in Iddesleigh Terrace early on Thursday morning.

Mr McDonald was remanded in custody during a hearing at Exeter Crown Court and will appear again later in February.
