A man has been charged with arson with intent to endanger life after a fire at a pub in Plymouth.

Crews from across the city attended the blaze at the Pub on the Hoe on Citadel Road on Sunday afternoon.

Kenneth Harris, 33, from Peterborough, was remanded into custody by Plymouth magistrates on Monday. He is expected to appear at Plymouth Crown Court on 20 March.

No-one was injured in the fire, which was confined to the third floor.
