Dartmoor rave stopped by Devon and Cornwall Police

Police broke up an illegal rave after about 30 teenagers gathered near Burrator reservoir on Dartmoor.

The Devon and Cornwall force said it had seized the organiser's car and music equipment after being called to the site on Saturday night.

Officers said that a number of teenagers were taken to a police station where they were picked up by their parents.

No-one has been reported arrested in connection with the event.

Supt Glen Mayhew tweeted: "No. of teenagers taken home to parents after illegal rave closed. Organisers car & music kit seized. Not legal because not safe!"
