Two dogs killed in Okehampton house fire

Two dogs have been found dead after a house fire in Okehampton, Devon.

Firefighters were called to the fire at a the property on Crediton Road in the town just before 04:30 BST.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said the kitchen of the bungalow was severely damaged by the blaze.

Two adults were treated by South Western Ambulance paramedics for the effects of breathing in smoke, but the dogs died as a result of the fire.
