Firefighters tackle lorry blaze in Dorset

Up to 30 firefighters have been tackling a fire on a lorry carrying 100 bales of straw in Dorset.

The fire service was alerted about the blaze at Handley Cross roundabout, Sixpenny Handley, at 1430 BST.

A spokeswoman said the Environment Agency also attended after a small amount of diesel fuel from the vehicle leaked on to the watercourse.

Police said the fire was started with a flint but not deliberately. The road was reopened shortly after 2100 BST.
