Burglars knock on victim's back door in Bournemouth

An elderly Dorset man was pushed to the ground by burglars who had knocked on his back door.

The 81-year-old had opened the door of his home in Charminster Road, Bournemouth, on Thursday 10 March at about 2100 GMT.

The pair, described as white and in their 20s, ransacked the bedrooms of the house before escaping.

Dorset Police said the items taken included a bus pass, shop reward cards and a packaged Tetley's toy red lorry.

The man was not hurt but was left feeling "extremely distressed and vulnerable", police said.
