Bournemouth hospital visiting ban lifted after virus

A general ban on visitors at a Dorset hospital after an outbreak of the vomiting and diarrhoea bug norovirus has been lifted.

Six wards were shut earlier this month at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital.

All wards have been reopened and most visitors are allowed but there are still some restrictions on visiting the wards affected by the outbreak.

Visitors to these areas should contact the nurse in charge to check they were allowed to see patients.
