Five rescued from sinking cruiser off Dorset coast

Two adults and three children were rescued from a sinking motor cruiser off the coast of Dorset.

The 25ft (7.6m) cabin cruiser put out a Mayday call after getting into difficulties late on Sunday afternoon in Poole harbour.

Poole RNLI launched its two lifeboats and rescuers helped the five people on to the all-weather rescue boat.

The adults and children were checked over and taken back to shore. The motor cruiser was towed back to land.
