Drunk man tumbles down Bournemouth cliff face

A drunken man was taken to hospital after falling nearly 100ft (30m) down a coastal cliff face.

Coastguard rescue teams were called to East Cliff near Bournemouth Pier just after 1630 BST on Monday.

The man, aged 50, was taken to the Royal Bournemouth Hospital for treatment.

A coastguard spokesman said: "He had taken quite a tumble and because of his condition it was difficult to assess him there."
