Kayakers rescued from Poole Harbour in strong winds

Three people have been rescued after they were overcome by the tide and strong winds while kayaking in Poole Harbour in Dorset.

One woman and two men were found by the Poole Harbour master's patrol boat on Sunday afternoon and the RNLI inshore lifeboat was then sent to the scene.

All three were taken to Poole lifeboat station and treated by paramedics.

Two of them had been in the water for some time. The woman was suffering from hypothermia and was taken to hospital.
