Bournemouth woman sexually assaulted in driveway

A 19-year-old woman was sexually assaulted as she walked home alone after a night out with friends in Bournemouth.

A man grabbed the victim from behind, dragged her into a driveway and sexually assaulted her at the Richmond Hill end of Wimborne Road.

The assault occurred at about 0245 BST on Sunday, leaving the victim with scratches to her face and neck.

The attacker is believed to have a Middle Eastern accent.

He was described by police as around 5ft 10ins tall.

Det Con Steve Griffin said: "This was an extremely distressing attack on a lone woman as she walked home after a night out with her friends.

"She shouted at the man and was able to escape."

Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
