Bovington school windows smashed by youths

Twenty-two windows have been smashed at a school in Dorset in the latest in a spate of attacks.

CCTV cameras filmed three male youths early on Sunday smashing windows at Bovington Middle School.

The school, which caters for nine to 13 year olds, said it was the eighth attack since October and repairs would cost thousands of pounds to repair.

It is investigating whether former pupils are to blame. Police have appealed for witnesses.

The windows were damaged between 0200 and 0400 BST on Sunday, police added.

Pc Adam Taylor, of Wareham police, said: "Such damage causes disruption to the staff and pupils.

"This sort of behaviour will not be tolerated."

The school has said it will stay open despite the damage.
