A Dorset nursery has collected its 10th consecutive gold award at the Royal Horticultural Society Chelsea Flower Show.

Knoll Gardens, near Wimborne, considered the UK's leading ornamental grass specialist, first entered the show in 2002.

This year its display featured more than 50 grasses, including Hakonechloas.

Owner Neil Lucas said: "It is wonderful to have achieved double figures."

Mr Lucas said the British weather had presented staff with "a few challenges" but added that they had "pulled out all the stops" to create this year's exhibit.

The nursery, which holds the national collection of pennisetum grasses, recently launched the Knoll Gardens Foundation to help those interested in creating sustainable, wildlife-friendly gardens.
