Crews tackle straw fire at Dorset farm

About 30 firefighters have tackled a blaze involving 25 tonnes of straw at a barn in Dorset.

Fire crews from Yeovil, Sturminster Newton and Sherborne were called to the farm at Beer Hackett near Yetminster earlier.

Young cattle had been released from the 25m x 12m (82ft x 39ft) barn and led to safety before fire crews arrived.

The fire was under control by 0545 BST but two crews remain at the scene to damp down the straw.

Investigations into the cause of the fire are under way.
