Teenager rescued by coastguard after Osmington fall

A teenager was airlifted to hospital after falling down cliffs on the Dorset coast.

The 14-year-old slipped on the coastal path and fell about 20ft (6m) in Osmington, near Weymouth.

An air ambulance was sent to the scene following the accident, at about 1230 BST on Tuesday, but could not land.

A helicopter winched the boy onboard and took him to Dorset County Hospital with suspected spinal injuries.
