Man treated in Dorset house fire

A man had to be treated for the effects of breathing in smoke after a fire in his Dorset home which took 30 firefighters to put out.

Crews were called to Lonnen Road, Colehill, at 2245 BST on Saturday to reports of a fire in a roof space.

Firefighters stripped the tiles away and used hose reel jets to extinguish the fire by 0240 BST.

Two pumps from Wimborne attended but a further four from Poole and Ferndown were called to help.
