Two men arrested over Bournemouth stab death

Two men have been arrested after a man found with a knife wound in Dorset died in hospital.

Glyn Helliwell, 42, was found seriously injured along Parkwood Road in the Southbourne area of Bournemouth early on Wednesday.

Detectives are trying to trace his Sony Ericsson k800i mobile phone and have asked residents to search their gardens and bins for a knife.

Two men, aged 21 and 28, have been held over the death and are in custody.

Residents have been given leaflets urging anyone with information to come forward.

An inquest heard he died as a result of a knife wound.

Det Ch Insp Kevin Connolly, of Bournemouth CID, said: "I am appealing for all local residents to look in their gardens and check their bins for any sign of the missing mobile phone and a knife.

"If any such items are discovered then please call us immediately.

"I am still keen to speak with anyone who knew Glyn who has yet to speak with officers."

Police are also trying to trace taxi drivers who may have been in the Seabourne Road area between 0015 and 0030 BST on Wednesday.
