Driver dies in Dorset milk tanker crash

A woman died when the milk tanker she was driving left a rural road in Dorset.

Police were called at about 0210 BST to Weymouth Road between the A35 at Monkeys Jump roundabout and Martinstown, near Dorchester.

The vehicle had left the road and rolled into a field. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road remained closed throughout the morning while officers inspected the scene.

Motorists were being advised to divert via Winterbourne Abbas.
