Dorset milk tanker crash woman is named

A woman who died when the milk tanker she was driving left a rural road in Dorset has been named.

Police were called at about 0210 BST to Weymouth Road, near Dorchester, where the vehicle had rolled into a field.

The driver of the tanker, Melanie Wiltshire, 52, from the Blandford area, was pronounced dead at the scene.

An inquest into her death was opened and adjourned by the West Dorset Coroner.

The road, between the A35 at Monkeys Jump roundabout and Martinstown, remained closed for several hours after the crash and motorists were diverted via Winterbourne Abbas.
