Detectives investigating the death of a man found stabbed in Bournemouth have made a fresh appeal for information.

Glyn Helliwell, 42, was found seriously injured on Parkwood Road in the Southbourne area of the town early on 6 July. He died in hospital.

Dorset Police think there may still be people who were in the area at the time of the incident who have not yet come forward.

A 21-year-old from Southbourne has been charged with murder.

Mr Helliwell, from Poole, worked as a chef at a Southbourne restaurant. An inquest which opened on 7 July heard that he died as a result of a stab wound.

Det Insp Stewart Balmer, of Dorset Police, said: "It has now been three weeks since Glyn's murder.

"I would urge anybody who was in the area of Parkwood Road, Seabourne Road, Woodside Road and West Road between midnight on Tuesday 5 July 2011 and 01:00 BST on Wednesday 6 July 2011 to contact us as soon as possible.

"Also, our appeal still stands for anyone with any information about the murder of Glyn to come forward urgently."
