Eleven beach huts torched by 'arsonists' in Weymouth

Eleven beach huts have suffered fire and smoke damage in a blaze thought to have been started by arsonists.

A cafe above the huts in Green Hill also suffered smoke and heat damage, a Dorset Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said.

Fire crews, who were called to the huts in the early hours, extinguished the blaze.

A fire investigation officer and fire safety officers remains on the scene. The cause is believed to be deliberate.
