'Aggressive' man in dinghy off Dorset coast arrested

A man fishing in an inflatable boat was arrested after acting aggressively towards a Dorset harbourmaster.

The West Bay harbour launch advised three Polish men their dinghy was too small, but withdrew when the men became hostile, Portland Coastguard said.

The men, whom the coastguard described as drunk, were apprehended by police when they returned to West Bay beach.

A 39-year-old man from Salisbury was arrested and fined £80 for a public order offence, Dorset Police said.
