From music and fun to arts and events: some suggestions of things to do in Dorset over the next few months.

Nature & Outdoors

Fireworks displays will be held across Dorset, including at Poole Quay, Corfe Castle, Sherborne Castle, The Cobb in Lyme Regis and the Littledown Centre in Bournemouth on 5 November.

Autumnwatch event - autumn colours and fungi walk at Upton Country Park on 6 November.

A range of autumn nature events at the RSPB Arne reserve near Weymouth.

The Garden as a Community is an inaugural event being held at the Allendale Centre in Wimborne on 3 December and will bring together top garden and wildlife specialists in a bid to inspire local people to see their gardens as communities, where wildlife and plants can flourish in harmony. Organised by Knoll Gardens, Butterfly World's Clive Farrell, the RSPB and Dorset Wildlife Trust.


Guided fossil walks on the beach take place from Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre in Charmouth until 21 December.

Arts & Culture

Craft sale for the benefit of WaterAid at Durlston Castle, Swanage. Hand dyed and painted silk scarves, unusual jewellery and more. 18 - 20 November.

Craft materials sales will be held at Walford Mill Crafts in Wimborne on 25 November.
