Climber rescued in Dorset after 125ft fall

A climber was airlifted to hospital after plunging about 125ft (38m) down a cliff in Dorset.

Portland Coastguard said the man, aged in his 40s, fell when his equipment failed 6ft (2m) from the top of Subliminal climb near Anvil Point.

The man suffered wrist and leg injuries and was airlifted to a landing site in Poole.

A waiting ambulance rushed the casualty to hospital where he was treated for his injuries on Sunday.
