Boscombe Crescent improvements announced

The redevelopment of a park could help reduce anti-social behaviour in a suburb of Bournemouth, according to the council.

The £50,000 improvements to Boscombe Crescent include new railings, repaired street lighting and repainted benches.

A premises licence also means small events can be held at the Crescent.

Councillor David Smith said: "We are determined to bring this public space back into use, reduce anti-social behaviour and create a green area."

It is hoped that work on the improvements will begin in spring 2012.
