'Accidental' Dorset fire destroys heathland

About 200 sqm (2,150 sqft) of heathland has been destroyed in a fire in Dorset.

The blaze, thought to have been started accidentally, broke out near Puddletown Road in Bere Regis at about 19:15 BST on Saturday night.

Twenty firefighters managed to get the fire under control using a combination of water jets and beaters.

A fire service spokesman said the fire was being investigated but it was not thought to have been started deliberately.
