Dorset Safeguarding Children Week to launch

Dorset's first Safeguarding Children Week will instruct residents on how to spot signs of neglect or abuse.

County agencies working with children have joined forces for the week-long campaign from Monday 5 December.

Dorset Safeguarding Children Board chair Richard Stowe said: "Children can be harmed in different ways and their safety is a community issue."

Concerns to report include if a child has burns or bruises, is often dirty or hungry, or has an untreated illnesses.
