Bournemouth buses 'to run normal routes' after attacks

Bournemouth buses which were diverted after being attacked by missiles are to resume normal service "as soon as possible", say police.

Three West Howe routes, run by Yellow Buses, are being diverted after 18:00 GMT each day, following vehicle damage including shattered windows.

The bus company is now working with Bournemouth Borough Council and Dorset Police to take "positive action".

Police are investigating five reports of damage in the Moore Avenue area.

Insp Mike Claxton, from Dorset Police, said: "We are working together to reinstate the buses as soon as possible."

The 5a, 5b and 2b bus services are no longer serving Maclean Road, Cunningham Crescent, Poole Lane, Moore Avenue and Anstey Road after 18:00 GMT each day.
