Wool sheep killed by 'unknown animal'

Nine sheep worth £2,000 have been killed by another animal in Dorset, according to police.

The incident happened between Sunday evening and Monday morning in the Water Meadow Lane area of Wool, which is regularly used by dog walkers.

It is not not known what type of animal attacked the sheep. Police in Purbeck are appealing for witnesses.

Sgt Glen Caddy said: "This was a very distressing incident for the owner of the sheep."
