Dorset Police receive 55 fallen tree reports after storm

Roads were blocked and electricity lines came down in Dorset as the south coast was battered by storms and gusts of wind up to 80mph.

Dorset Police received 55 reports of fallen trees across the county overnight. The area around Dorchester was particularly badly affected.

Power lines came down in Morcombelake and Ferndown while the village of Minterne Magna experienced flooding.

In Portland, a trampoline was blown into the road disrupting traffic.
