Bournemouth bookmakers shop raided by gunman

A masked gunman escaped with cash after raiding a bookmakers in Dorset.

The man threatened a female cashier in Ladbrokes in Commercial Road, Bournemouth, with what was believed to be a black handgun at about 20:20 GMT on Tuesday.

The robber is described as white, about 5ft 6in-tall, with dark greasy hair.

He was wearing a navy blue Henry Lloyd top with the number 63 on the front and blue tracksuit bottoms with a white stripe down the side.

Dorset Police would not disclose how much money was taken.

Det Con Steve May said: "The area was reasonably busy at the time of this robbery and it may be that a number of people saw this man arriving or departing the scene."
