Woman in court over PC stabbing in Poole

A woman has appeared in court accused of stabbing a police officer at a shopping centre in Dorset.

The female police officer was stabbed in the leg while at the Dolphin Centre in Poole on Saturday afternoon.

Danielle Preston, 22, of no fixed address, appeared before Bournemouth magistrates charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

She was remanded in custody to appear at Bournemouth Crown Court on 27 February.
