Bournemouth motorcyclist dies in Parkstone collision

A Dorset motorcyclist has died in a collision with a car.

The 45-year-old Bournemouth died man after hitting a Peugeot on Ashley Road, Parkstone, Poole, at around 17:50 BST on Sunday.

His Kawasaki 1000cc was in collision with the car at the junction of Weymouth Road and Wesley Road as it travelled towards Sea View.

He suffered serious injuries and despite efforts to revive him, he died at the scene.

The driver of the Peugeot, a 30-year-old woman and her 12-year-old daughter, were treated for shock but were not taken to hospital.

A Dorset Police spokesman said: "The rider was severely injured in the collision. Despite the best efforts of those who rushed to his assistance, he died at the scene.

"Anyone who witnessed the collision is urged to contact us."
