Bournemouth 'corrosive liquid' attack: Man in hospital

A man remains in hospital after having a corrosive liquid thrown in his face.

The 46-year-old man from Bournemouth was badly injured in the attack on Branksome Hill Road, in the Meyrick Park area of the town.

Det Insp Becky Riggs, of Bournemouth CID, said: "This was an extremely nasty attack and the victim has been left with very serious injuries."

She said the offender may have suffered "burn type injuries" too, following the attack on 27 December.

Det Insp Riggs said: "I am appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to contact Dorset Police.

"I am particularly interested in any sightings of a white Nissan people carrier in the area of the offence at the time."
