A plaque marking the 60th anniversary of the Queen's coronation has been unveiled in a Dorset village.

The Purbeck stone memorial in Corfe Castle has been placed alongside memorials to Queen Victoria and the 10th century Edward the Martyr.

The unveiling of the plaque, by local craftsman Val Quinn, concludes the village's Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

Jubilee committee chairman Robin Swaine said their events had been "a catalyst for bringing the village together".
